Description
The Medium Octave Steel Tongue Drum by Meinl Sonic Energy is tuned to a B minor scale. It sounds dark, deep, and thoughtful, with a slightly mysterious character. Among the four Medium Octave variants, this is the most serious tuning.
Each of the eight tongues is double-layered, sounding in two octaves at once. This creates a full, resonant tone with long sustain, similar to a handpan. The drum is tuned to 432 Hz. The silicone plug in the sound hole allows you to make the sound more compact.
It is especially well-suited for meditation, sound journeys, or as a calm conclusion to a yoga session. All notes harmonize with each other, so no prior knowledge is needed. With a 25 cm diameter and 1.85 kg weight, it is easy to transport.

The essentials about Spirit Wellness, advice, and returns.
Who is behind Spirit Wellness?
Spirit Wellness was founded by two people with over 13 years of experience in sound, mindfulness, and conscious living. We also run a successful sound massage school and the singing bowl center. Our deep practical knowledge directly influences the selection of our product range.
What sets Spirit Wellness apart from other online shops?
We are not an impersonal mass retailer. Our range follows a holistic approach for body, space, and mind.
"Quality over speed. Effect over trends. Experience over promises." We have known many of our producers personally for years. We only sell daily companions that we also use and appreciate in practice or in the seminar room.
What products can I find in the shop?
Our carefully selected Swiss range is divided into the following categories:
- Sound & Vibration: High-quality singing bowls, gongs, and matching accessories (e.g., gong bags).
- Meditation & Yoga: Everything to support your practice (e.g., non-slip socks).
- Incense & Sprays: Fine essences, pomanders, and aura sprays for energetic cleansing.
- Living & Decoration: Stylish accessories for conscious living spaces (e.g., the Smart Book Light).
- Candles & Lanterns: For atmospheric lighting and small breaks in daily life.
- Gifts & Inspiration: Presents with deeper meaning for loved ones.
What are the return policies?
If a product does not meet your expectations, you can exercise your legal right of withdrawal. For details, see our withdrawal policy in the footer of the website.
Do you offer personal advice?
Absolutely. We know not only the products but also the themes behind them (finding peace, clearing spaces, developing rituals). Simply use our Consultation & Contact section if you have questions about specific sound instruments or applications.
Can I learn to work with singing bowls with you?
Yes! If you want to deepen your work with singing bowls – whether for yourself or your clients – we warmly invite you to explore the certified training, seminars, and workshops of our sound massage school.
